Plant Introduction (Ìntrodukcìâ Roslin, ISSN 1605-6574, e-ISSN 2663-290X) is a Ukrainian scientific journal about all aspects of experimental and applied botany, which was published quarterly from 1999 till 2020. Starting from 2020, the journal accepts manuscripts exclusively in English and is issued twice per year. Starting from 2021, all accepted manuscripts appear on the official journal's website in early-view mode as soon as they are processed.

Aims and Scope

This is an open-access journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and short reports dealing with experimental and structural plant biology, theoretical bases, and practical aspects of the introduction, breeding, selection, and acclimatization of food, forage, industrial crops, officinal and ornamental plants, of the conservation of biodiversity and environment, park science, landscaping, and park design, as well as the usage of introduced plants.

The journal is published and run by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. It was established by a consortium of leading research institutions of Ukraine including the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine, the Sofievka National Dendrological Park of the NAS of Ukraine, the Oleksandria State Dendrological Park of the NAS of Ukraine and the Trostyanets State Dendrological Park of the NAS of Ukraine. Therefore, among the main scopes of the journal are efficient and quality elucidation of scientific outcomes and integration of published materials in a world scientific fund.

Plant Introduction is qualified as a scientific professional edition for the publication of the basic results of the dissertational researches in Ukraine. It is also indexed/abstracted in the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Google Scholar, Zenodo, ICI Journals Master List, DOAJ, Open Archives, CORE, Ulrichsweb, CNKI, Polska Bibliografia Naukowa, WorldCat, Semantic Scholar, MDPI SciLit,  Elsevier 1findr, CABI, AGRIS, ROAD, USDA PubAg, and OpenAIRE databases.
